Fix Auto UK Adds Blackpool To It’s Portfolio Of Owned Sites

Fix Auto UK has re-established itself in the historical coastal town of Blackpool, with the network acquiring the former Fix Auto Blackpool business two years after it moved away from the network.
Significantly, the latest purchase positions Fix Auto Blackpool as its 10th site within its portfolio of repair centres the network owns outright.
Previously owned by local serial entrepreneur Chris Allen, the repair centre originally joined the network in April 2015 shortly after it moved into a purpose-built 7,500 sq ft building. The repair centre was extended to 12,000 sq ft following a programme of investment that also included a raft of new equipment in 2021.
Chris’s decision to step back from the day-to-day running of his numerous businesses and a change in management saw the Fix Auto Blackpool name drop off the network in 2022. Today’s takeover, however, once again firmly secures Fix Auto UK’s presence in the region.
The site will be managed by Craig Gidman and hosts a team of 14 that includes eight productives and currently has the capacity to repair up to 100 vehicles a month.
Fix Auto UK’s nine other solely owned sites includes Fix Auto Daventry, Fix Auto Colwyn Bay,                              Fix Auto Barnsley, Fix Auto Crawley, Fix Auto Paignton, Fix Auto Liverpool South, Fix Auto Castleford,            Fix Auto Newport and Fix Auto Henley-on-Thames. The network also holds majority shares in Fix Auto Goole and Fix Auto Cheltenham.

It was a decision we respected as, as ever, we maintained close links with the team there and expressed our interest in taking it over should circumstances change. Fortunately, we were given the opportunity and I am delighted to say it is now our 10th wholly owned repair centre.”
