FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR FIX AUTO FIX & GO BOURNEMOUTH

A new Fix Auto Fix & Go site is now fully operational in Bournemouth – little over three months after the owners of Fix Auto Portsmouth revealed their plans to develop the network’s latest express repair centre along the coast from their existing bodyshop.

Brothers Terry and Chris Clemens have invested £500,000 in buying and transforming a disused 6,500 sq ft unit in New Milton into the network’s eighth operational Fix & Go express repair centre.  The site has the capacity to repair up to 40 vehicles per week, and will be dedicated to repairing vehicles in two days or less.

In order to maximise available space and to ensure a speedy, fluent workflow utilising two-spraybooths, a roller-track system has been installed, alongside what they believe to be a unique internal valeting bay.

Commenting on the investment Terry, said: “Everything has gone according to plan and transforming the unit has been relatively straightforward. To say we’re extremely pleased with the outcome is an understatement.”

He added: “While we’ve been repairing vehicles for several weeks we have taken our time to fine-tune the facilities and the team to ensure optimum performance. The final piece of the jigsaw has been the installation of an internal valeting system to ensure every element of the repair process is completed indoors, all under one roof.”

Chris, added: “As I said in the summer, like so many of our fellow Fix Auto franchisees, we have been regularly challenged by Fix Auto and our other clients to accommodate additional repair volumes, which we have always achieved. This new centre will ensure that we will be able to take our ability to repair greater volumes and continue to deliver impressive cycle times for our customers.”
