FIX AUTO LOUGHBOROUGH WELCOMES LOCAL MP NICKY MORGAN

Fix Auto Loughborough were pleased to welcome Member of Parliament for Loughborough, Nicky Morgan, to their recently opened Fix & Go site for a tour of the facility.

During her visit, the chair of the Treasury Select Committee paid tribute to the dedication of Paul’s team to delivering a first-class customer experience, their commitment to developing new talent for the industry and the measures taken to provide the most environmentally friendly business possible.

Nicky spent more than an hour touring the new site and was clearly fascinated by the £500,000 investment in express repair facilities, along with the processes adopted by the team including the use of the centre’s four-bay STL moveable spraybooth. 

Commenting on the Conservative MP’s visit, Paul said: “Unfortunately, Nicky couldn’t attend our official opening event in July due to commitments in London. True to her word, she promised to pay us a visit and see for herself just what we are trying to achieve.

“She’s extremely committed to supporting businesses within Loughborough and had clearly done her homework regarding ourselves and the Fix Auto network.  She was particularly interested in our involvement with AutoRaise, a charity set up to address the automotive skills shortage by attracting and supporting a new generation of young people. This is achieved by working together with repairers, trainers, schools, colleges, young people and their parents to showcase how the new automotive industry is evolving with many new career opportunities.”

Speaking from the Messenger Close business, Nicky said: “It was a huge pleasure to visit Fix Auto Loughborough. Everything that Paul and his team have achieved and are continually striving to achieve is a credit to Loughborough. In particular their work to limit their impact on the environment and the investment they have made in the latest equipment. I found the visit was a real insight into the vehicle repair sector although I was particularly concerned to hear about the shortage of new skills being drawn to the industry.”
