FIX AUTO UK’S OWN ‘RISING STAR’ RECOGNISED BY BODYSHOP MAGAZINE

For the second successive year Fix Auto UK’s young talent has been acknowledged by Bodyshop Magazine with Rob Pugh being named as one of the title’s coveted 30 Under 30: Rising Stars.

The 24-year-old originally joined the business as an intern while studying Business Management at the University Northampton in 2015. Rob re-joined the operation in April last year as a Strategy Consultant and among his successes since he has been largely credited with developing Fix Auto Finance, the repair industry’s first and only year-long zero per cent finance package developed to help fund retail repairs.

Rob was appointed to the role of Head of Strategy and Communications earlier this month and his award follows those bestowed on Fix Auto UK’s Marketing Manager Milly Bartholomew in 2019 along with Fix Auto Dagenham’s METs Luigi Morotti and Chris Worsell and Nick Brown, Senior Paint Technician, at Fix Auto Penzance.

This year’s awards attracted a record number of nominations, as a 2020 winner, Rob will join fellow 30 under 30: Rising Stars during Bodyshop Magazine’s annual industry awards scheduled to be held on December 15 at the International Convention Centre Wales at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort near Cardiff.

Louise Woolacott, owner of Fix Auto Mid Devon who nominated Rob for the award, said: “For such a young man to step into this industry of ours with such a mature head on his shoulders is extremely refreshing. Rob has an incredible approach to his role and has made such a difference since he joined the team with his go-getting can-do attitude. He really is a breath of fresh air and I am delighted he has succeeded into the Bodyshop Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Awards.”

Personally speaking, it has greater pertinence as I was nominated by a franchisee partner and recognises not just my efforts, but those from colleagues and the franchisee community who support me.”
