FIX AUTO UK FRANCHISE PARTNER APPLAUDED IN GAINING RETAIL GRANT SUPPORT AFTER NINE MONTH BATTLE

Vehicle repairers who failed to gain retail grant or business rate relief support during the height of the pandemic, and are fighting the fight through the current situation with low volumes, are being encouraged to stand determined and refuse to take no for an answer.

That’s the message from Fix Auto UK after the organisation supported Matt Wright and his fellow directors at Fix Auto West Hampstead, Fix Auto High Wycombe and Fix Auto Hoddesdon who, after what has been a gruelling nine-month battle, were told this week that their respective applications totalling more than £110,000 for business rates relief were successful.

Ian Pugh, Fix Auto UK’s Managing Director, said: “The priority of every business is survival since the Coronavirus pandemic took hold. The government, thankfully, put measures in place like the retail grants and business rate relief to help businesses survive. While we are seeing signs of a recovery, repair volumes have been dramatically down for more than a year now so every penny that can be injected into a business helps cashflow.”

“Matt and his team have tenaciously refused to take no for an answer. We have supported their cause as they fought for what they are rightfully entitled to help sustain a successful operation. There is a lesson for all to be had that you simply should not take no for an answer.”

Matt said: “I won’t lie, having our applications refused has been frustrating, especially as we know many fellow Fix Auto UK sites and others outside of the network have successfully gained grant support. We met every element of the criteria needed and so just kept pursuing.”

Fix Auto UK has helped its franchise partners and many repairers outside of its network to successfully gain collectively more than £2.5 million in retail grants or business rate relief.
