FIX AUTO DAVENTRY HELP VOLUNTEER IN NEED
Fix Auto Daventry have loaned a courtesy car to a community COVID-19 volunteer after her vehicle was vandalised.
Helen Crouch had been using her vehicle during the lockdown as part of a Coronavirus Response Team to deliver meals, groceries, and prescriptions to people in isolation in three local villages when all its windows were smashed. This attack came just two days after all four tyres on the vehicle were slashed. This act of vandalism resulted in the vehicle being written off.
Fix Auto Daventry were able to offer a courtesy car to Helen, so she could continue to provide valuable help and support to the community while she looked to purchase a new vehicle.
Speaking about the situation, Helen Crouch said: “Fix Auto UK saw my story in the press and contacted the editor to see if they could help me. I was given Milly Bartholomew’s details and we arranged everything from there. I am beyond grateful that they were so generous and offered me a car so I could continue to help in the community while I picked a new one. They have been amazing!”
Fix Auto UK’s Marketing Manager, Milly Bartholomew added: “When we saw the story in the press, we knew we wanted to try and help. We had a spare vehicle at our Fix Auto Daventry site which we offered Helen to keep her mobile while she sourced a new vehicle. The team at Fix Auto Daventry could not have been more supportive, they arranged everything and then delivered the car directly to Helen. This has been a great Fix Auto UK family effort and I am proud we were able to help during a difficult time.”
