CIVIC APPROVAL FOR FIX AUTO SLOUGH’S NEW CENTRE

Civic dignitaries, the local MP and industry suppliers joined scores of Franchise Partners from across the Fix Auto UK network for the official opening of the all-new Fix Auto Slough repair centre.

Guests were given a tour of the new facility created following a major investment by owner Ranjit Gill in order to increase productivity and futureproof his business. The new centre is brimming with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, central to which is a dedicated ‘Tech Bay’ developed specifically for the tech demands modern vehicles have.

Tan Dhesi, MP for Slough, heaped praise on the development and Ranjit’s decision to invest. Addressing the 50 guests he said: “We are here in the heart of the largest privately owned industrial estate in the country surrounded by many head offices belonging to some of the nation’s leading companies. Mightily impressive small and medium sized businesses much like Fix Auto Slough underpin those and boost our local economy and that can only be applauded.

“Personal investment is a bold move and, looking around me here, you can see just why Ranjit has not held back. It really does look like a state-of-the-art facility and a centre of excellence, one Slough can be proud of.”

Ian Pugh, Managing Director for Fix Auto UK, added: “There’s immense amount of confidence running through our network. Last week we witnessed the opening of a 15,000 sq ft new repair centre in Cheltenham and today we’re here celebrating Ranjit’s hard work and there are others in the pipeline. Both investments have been made to future proof those respective sites and increase productivity and, crucially, to enhance the customer experience.

“This site really is credit to Ranjit and all those who have supported him to have such an impressive facility as part of the Fix Auto UK network.”

Ranjit concluded: “This really has been 16 years in the making for that’s how long I’ve been in the industry. While my old facility served me well, I realised, particularly with the explosion of electric vehicles, that we needed to elevate the infrastructure and equipment to another level to stay ahead of the curve. Creating the Tech Bay is instrumental to securing our future because it ensures we’re able to repair the latest technically advanced vehicles and specifically EVs.”
