Fix Auto UK Again Basks in Night of Knight Glory

Fix Auto UK brought its 2025 industry awards season to a triumphant close last night, securing a    double win and celebrating six finalists at the Night of Knights ceremony at Manchester’s Exchange Hall.

With 29 awards presented before more than 880 industry guests, The Group had plenty to applaud — with two Franchise Partners taking home top honours.

This latest success extends Fix Auto UK’s standout performances throughout the year, having achieved multiple wins at every major industry event of the year including from the British Bodyshop Awards in May, to the NBRA Greener Awards in September and last month’s Bodyshop Magazine Awards.

Fix Auto Weston-super-Mare’s spray painter Darren White was first to step on stage to receive the ABP Apprentice Mentor of the Year award that TV personality and host Tim Shaw heralded as “arguably one of the most important awards of the evening”. He was swiftly followed when Fix Auto Chessington’s Robert Murphy was named as the ABP Business Hero of the Year, pipping Fix Auto Leicester’s Managing Director Kevin Shaw, a finalist for the second successive year, to the honour.

Shortly after receiving his award, an overwhelmed Darren commented: “I am completely shocked and delighted at the same time. I have really been fortunate to have worked with a great bunch of apprentices over the years. Meanwhile, Arnie Gauci who collected the award on behalf of Robert who was away on holiday, added: “Robert really is a hero of our business. He’s been with us for around 10 years, having started out as a driver and then worked his way through various departments and is currently an apprentice VDA – at 51!  He’s one of those true gems every business relies upon, someone who’s totally dependable and thoroughly committed. I really am delighted for him.”

Together with Kevin, Fix Auto Chelmsford’s Managing Director Mark Bodimeade celebrated being a finalist in the ABP Bodyshop Eco-Champion category, Fix Auto Penzance were finalists in the ABP Eco-Friendly Bodyshop Single Site category and Fix Auto Mid Devon and Newton Abbot were finalists in the ABP Eco-Friendly Bodyshop Award Group category.
