Driving Forward… Fix Auto Darlington Boosts the Fix Auto UK Network

Drive Motor Retail Ltd Bodyshop Director Jason Bond (left) with Fix Auto UK’s Supplier Relations and Business Development Manager Martin Willis after pledging to bring the company’s Darlington repair centre into the Fix Auto UK network following a meeting at the company’s impressive Bristol North site.

Fix Auto UK’s presence in the North East of England has been significantly enriched following the appointment of Fix Auto Darlington.

The addition of the 18,000 sq ft repair centre is the latest by the Drive Motor Retail Ltd organisation that now has five of its eight sites fully immersed in the Fix Auto UK network.

Managed by long-standing employee John Wears who reports directly into Director Jason Bond, the site is a three-spray booth facility that also accommodates “high top” commercial vehicles and is currently repairing up to 200 vehicles a month but can readily accommodate more.

Due to its close association to the Vauxhall dealership, it holds the full Stellantis vehicle manufacturer approval encompassing all 9 brands associated with the company. It also holds the approval status for MG.

The Drive Motor Retail Ltd – owned Fix Auto Hartlepool, Fix Auto Redcar, Fix Auto Bury St Edmunds and Fix Auto Bristol North have long been integral repair centres to the Fix Auto UK network. Collectively, the five sites total 40,000 sq ft of bodyshop space. In addition, the network also has Fix Auto Durham and Fix Auto Washington in the region.

Commenting on the latest move, Jason said: “We have long been a prominent member of the Fix Auto UK network and have witnessed it continually grow and develop into arguably the country’s finest vehicle repair network. Bringing our Darlington site into the network is the obvious step for us as we continually look to develop our proposition and to help further strengthen and solidify Fix Auto UK’s position in the region. It’s a huge complex, the largest we have within the Drive Motor Retail ltd portfolio, with huge capabilities.”

Ian Pugh, Managing Director for Fix Auto UK, said: “To finally have Fix Auto Darlington fully on board is a major coup in our continual drive for growth. Strategically, the site really does underpin our proposition in the region which has long been established thanks to those existing repair centres we have there.
