FIX AUTO UK BECOMES MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER OF FIX AUTO CHELTENHAM

Fix Auto UK has added to its portfolio of wholly and part owned repair centres by taking over as the majority shareholder in Fix Auto Cheltenham.
The network has bought the shares previously owned by businessman Andrew Emery who is stepping away from the industry to concentrate on other business interests.
Fellow director Kieran Humphries, who formed the business with his father Ray in 2009, will retain his shares and position as Operations Director and will continue to oversee the day-to-day running of the business.
It is the second repair centre established within the Fix Auto UK network that Fix Auto UK has invested in, having taken a majority share in Fix Auto Goole in August 2018, and in doing so embark on its strategy to develop a portfolio of its own repair centres primarily to ensure and maintain the network presence in areas where it had none. Fix Auto UK’s group of nine wholly owned sites comprises Fix Auto Daventry, Fix Auto Colwyn Bay, Fix Auto Barnsley, Fix Auto Crawley, Fix Auto Paignton, Fix Auto Liverpool South, Fix Auto Castleford, Fix Auto Newport and Fix Auto Henley-on-Thames.
Having joined the Fix Auto UK in 2018, last summer Fix Auto Cheltenham became the toast of the network after moving into a brand new 15,000 sq ft unit close to the main arterial road serving the historic town. At the time, such was the level of investment by Andrew and Kieran, the repair centre was heralded as a ‘flagship’ venue within the network.

Andrew said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time and extremely proud of our achievements. Taking the business to where it is today has been a privilege but, in truth, I have other business interests to concentrate on. The repair centre is in an extremely good place and now is the time to step back. With Kieran at the helm and with Fix Auto UK in support, the business could not be in better hands going forward.”
Kieran added: “It’s yet another exciting new chapter for the business. I can’t thank Andrew enough for his help and unwavering support since he joined me. Put simply, we wouldn’t be sitting here in our impressive new repair centre had he not joined the business. I am ambitious, bringing Fix Auto UK on board will help take the business to another level.”
