Fix Auto Caldicot Receives Tesla’s Seal of Approval

Fix Auto Caldicot is the latest repairer in The Group to achieve official approval status from Tesla.

The appointment follows a major investment by brothers Ashley and Dan Mustoe in equipment, training and facilities at their Monmouthshire repair centre and is yet another show of commitment to delivering exceptional quality, safety and service in vehicle repairs.

The new Tesla approval status will sit alongside the entire Stellantis stable of marques and Suzuki. Fix Auto Caldicot’s achievement follows the success gained by Fix Auto Stoke-on-Trent earlier this year.

Earning Tesla’s approval is a rigorous process that requires meeting stringent standards and specific equipment, technician training to meet the strict safety guidelines surrounding repairing EV vehicles.

Ashley, said: “It has long been said EVs are integral to the future of cars and Teslas are certainly pivotal to that notion. While we have been repairing EVs for some time, we needed to be fully embedded in the process to ensure every EV is repaired safely and what better way to ensure we meet those requirements than to gain official status from the company itself.”

Dan added: “It has been a long, thorough and expensive process but certainly worth it. Gaining the official seal of approval from Tesla doesn’t come lightly so we are extremely proud of what we have achieved.”

Since joining Fix Auto UK in June 2024, the brothers have redeveloped their 13,500 sq ft bodyshop and, in February fulfilled their ambition to become a multi-site operator by buying an existing bodyshop and rebranding it Fix Auto Bristol Central.
