Job Title: 3‐4 Year Auto Body/Collision Repair Apprentice

Objectives

Contribute to the productivity and efficiency of the body department. Collaborate effectively with all personnel to achieve daily work goals to promote efficient vehicle flow. Ensure quality standards are met to reduce and eliminate re‐work.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the basic products and processes used in a typical collision repair centre
  • Understand safe and practical usage of typical body shop and collision repair tools and equipment
  • Understand and able to practice good shop safety and cleanliness
  • Can review and understand repair orders/estimates to work as efficiently as possible
  • Able to read and understand vehicle manufacturers repair procedures
  • Able to carry out many routine light to medium repair or replace operations with limited supervision. (Examples, but not necessarily limited to), R&I’s, bolt on panel replacements, minor to medium dent repair, door skin/rad support replacement, basic prep work, etc.
  • Understand and able to achieve quality standards in restoration and repair, to reduce and eliminate re‐work and warranty claims
  • Able and willing to attend ongoing training including but not limited to I‐Car
  • Constructively seeks opportunities to improve knowledge and skill level to become an integral part of the team and contribute to overall shop success.

Relationships & Reporting Structure

  • Reports to production and parts efficiency manager
  • Collaborates with all shop personnel.

Job Specifications

  • 3‐4 years collision shop experience; registered auto body apprentice with good general knowledge of entire collision repair process
  • Able to effectively and efficiently manage light to medium damage to vehicles
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Compensation: $19 ‐ $20 per hour.

 


 

Job Title: Paint Technician

Objectives

Contribute to the productivity and efficiency of the paint dept. Collaborate effectively with the body department to achieve efficient vehicle flow. Ensure quality standards are met to reduce and eliminate rework.

Responsibilities

  • Restore vehicles to original condition as per manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Manages work assignments to achieve targets set out by production and parts efficiency manager.
  • Ensure the achievement of quality standards in restoration and repair, to reduce and eliminate re‐work and warranty claims.
  • Review repair orders to work as efficiently as possible. Constructively seeks opportunities to provide feedback on repair orders to reduce costs or increase revenue.

Relationships & Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Paint Production Team Manager.
  • Collaborates with body repair personnel.

Job Specifications

  • 5‐7 years collision shop experience; licensed refinish tech with good general knowledge of entire collision repair process
  • Able to effectively and efficiently manage multi vehicle repair.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Compensation ‐ $20 ‐ $22 per hour
