About Fix Auto Leicester

We’ve undergone quite a transformation since our original set up in 1970 in the small Leicestershire village of Huncote. Originally named Brian Bowles Accident Repair Centre, we quickly gained a loyal following and after outgrowing our premises, we relocated to a new site in nearby Narborough in 1983.

Over the years, we built an enviable reputation as the car repairer of choice for many insurers, as well as private customers. As a family-run business, we were able to maintain a personal touch, rather than pushing work through as fast as possible in order to meet corporate targets.

The bodyshop was rebranded to Bowles Vehicle Repair (BVR) in 2017 following Brian Bowle’s retirement, and a buyout by local businessmen. The change of ownership allowed for significant investment to be put into the business, including the purchase of new ovens, and most importantly the relocation to larger premises in Whetstone.

Our transition to become part of the Fix Auto UK network was finalised in 2021, which coincided with the move to our new custom-built site at Beeches Farm. Our commitment to the quality of car repair remains unchanged, and we believe in continually investing in new equipment and technology to keep up with the complexity of the latest generation vehicles.

Many of our staff have been with us for over ten years, and are highly experienced experts in their field. We also encourage regular staff training opportunities, to ensure that they have the confidence to deal with ever-increasing technological challenges.

Our BSI 10125 Certification

We achieved the BSI 10125 Kitemark for Vehicle Damage Repair in 2014. This is the industry approved standard, and only given to repairers who have the technical competence, management systems and procedures to operate and perform to the highest standards.
