Fix Auto UK Lands in Sheffield ForThe First Time in Its 20-Year History

Fix Auto UK has hit another major milestone with the appointment of Fix Auto Sheffield, marking The Group’s first ever presence in the city in its 20 year history.

Formerly known as Just Cars and Commercials, the business was founded by Dominic Burns and Yan Masterman in 2022 having both started in the industry as teenage apprentice technicians.

From humble beginnings, the duo began repairing vehicles in their spare time from Yan’s parents’ garage and word spread quickly that the pair were offering a high quality service. As their reputation began to set roots in their area they decided that it was time to take the business to the next level.

In a tale echoing so many industry start-ups, when the time was right, they moved out of the family garage and into a modest building but quickly outgrew that and are now proudly housed in a 8,000sq ft unit close to the city centre and sitting on a main arterial road and a short drive from the M1.

Strategically, the appointment brings the trusted Fix Auto UK name into the South Yorkshire city and could not be better positioned, completing the void between Fix Auto Manchester East, Fix Auto Barnsley, Fix Auto Matlock, Fix Auto Sutton-in-Ashfield and Fix Auto Grimsby.

Complete with two spraybooths, one dedicated to commercial vehicles, the team of four productives including one second year apprentice, are currently repairing up to 20 vehicles a month but, the duo freely admit to having capacity to potentially double that.

“Joining Fix Auto UK has long been part of our business plan,” said Dominic, “we’re both technicians at heart  and have exceptional pride in every repair we complete but, we know our limitations in terms of where we are able take the business to. We have brought the business to a point which we are extremely proud of but one where we know we need that extra help and guidance which you receive from the network if we are to fulfil our ambitions.”

Yan added: “It seems like only five minutes ago we were repairing cars in our spare time from my parents’ garage and today, we’re now part of Fix Auto UK! Bringing the brand into Sheffield has been a goal of ours for some time and we are delighted to be finally on board. It has been a journey, we have had to invest not only in the building but with the team and with equipment to secure our BSI10125.”
