Fix Auto UK Has Birmingham Firmly ‘Pegged’ With Key Strategic Appointment

Fix Auto UK has further cemented its brand in the UK’s second city with its latest addition as renowned Birmingham repairer Peggs Accident Repair Centre has officially joined the Group.

Led by owners Richard and Jenny Pegg and managed by Carl Williams, the business will now operate as Fix Auto Birmingham Central, securing the brand to another strategically important location in the heart of Birmingham.

The move marks a significant milestone for the multi award-winning repairer which has built a formidable reputation locally over the past 15 years. Joining Fix Auto UK will enable the business to further diversify its work streams, increase its brand visibility and benefit from the wider knowledge and commercial support available.

A spray painter by trade, Richard founded the business in 2011 with just £2,000 from his redundancy following his departure from Peugeot’s technical centre at the company’s UK head office in Coventry. What began as a one-man operation has grown into one of the city’s leading repairers spanning three sites encompassing 27,000 sq ft of workshop space, employing 45 people and repairing around 220 vehicles every month.

That growth has been achieved despite a devastating fire early in the company’s history which destroyed its original premises. Determined to succeed, Richard and Jenny rebuilt the business and it has continued to go from strength-to-strength.

“Joining Fix Auto UK is about strategic diversification and future-proofing our business,” said Richard, “apart from that early set back with the fire, we have always been successful, but the support, peer-to-peer knowledge and direct access to a wider community of repairers that Fix Auto UK provides will, I am sure, provide us the platform to continue growing organically.”

He added: “For us, it’s about becoming part of a bigger brand that shares our philosophy around quality, customer service and resilience, while giving us access to new opportunities for the future.”

Fix Auto Birmingham Central will operate from a dedicated 7,500 sq ft workshop, adjoined to Richard’s larger premises, which also houses the business’s centralised administration and parts departments.
