Fix Auto Oswestry Completes £500,000 Transformation to Drive Future Growth

Fix Auto Oswestry has completed a £500,000 redevelopment programme, becoming the second Fix Auto UK repairer in as many weeks to unveil a major investment in its business and further underlining the confidence Franchise Partners continue to place in the Group and its long-term strategy.

The announcement follows that of Fix Auto Inverness and highlights how the extensive redevelopment has transformed the long-established repair centre into a modern, high-efficiency facility capable of repairing more than 120 vehicles a month. The project has included the construction of a new 3,000 sq ft workshop, taking the site’s total footprint beyond 10,000 sq ft, while enabling a complete redesign of the internal layout to create a seamless production flow. The investment is expected to increase productivity by a further 25 per cent.

At the heart of the redevelopment is the installation of two new gas-powered spraybooths, replacing three ageing units that had become a constraint on productivity. Their new central location has streamlined vehicle movement through the repair process. The extra space created by removing the old ovens enables technicians to benefit from a dedicated two-vehicle work bay, significantly improving efficiency.

For Managing Director Lee Hitch, the completion of the project marks the culmination of more than a decade of planning. “We’ve known for years our Oswestry site needed redesigning if we were going to unlock its full potential,” he said, “the additional workshop has allowed us to rethink the entire layout. I’m delighted to say that now, every element of the operation flows naturally, which means our technicians can work far more efficiently and, ultimately, deliver a far greater better service for our customers.”

Lee also paid tribute to Operations Manager Shane Price and fellow Director Richard Edwards for support in driving the project forward.
