Fix Auto Buckingham Achieves Highest Aries Environmental Accreditation

Fix Auto Buckingham has taken its environmental credentials to a whole new level and become the first Fix Auto UK repairer – and only the second independent repairer in the UK – to achieve the coveted ARIES Maturity Level 5 Environmental Accreditation for the 2025 reporting period.

Crucially, the Northamptonshire business has achieved the highest level of accreditation under the ARIES framework – the automotive industry’s environmental standard designed to improve energy efficiency, waste management, emissions reduction, regulatory compliance and sustainable business practices across bodyshops and repair centres.

Owner Richard Taylor and his team partnered with procurement specialists Purchase Direct to achieve the goal, an assessment process that included calculating Scope one, two and three carbon emissions and developing a detailed carbon reduction management plan.

The award follows just five weeks after Fix Auto Buckingham received the Group’s Environmental Excellence Award during its annual National Conference.

“Environmental responsibility is a key priority for our business,” commented Richard, “and ARIES has provided us with a recognised framework that’s specifically designed for the automotive repair industry.

“Prior to ARIES coming into force, we already held the PAS2060 certification so the framework for our environmental credentials were already firmly in place.

“Achieving Maturity Level 5 not only further cements those credentials but also taken them to a whole new level. Being the first Fix Auto UK repairer to achieve this is yet another proud milestone for the business and reflects the commitment of our entire team to reducing our carbon footprint, improving resource efficiency and embedding sustainable practices throughout our operation. While we’re proud of this achievement, we’re equally focused on continuing our environmental journey.”
