WELSH DUO EXPAND AND BECOME MULTI-SITE OPERATORS ONE YEAR ON FROM JOINING FIX AUTO UK

Fix Auto Swansea West owners Matthew Davies and Paul Gravell have expanded their business, exactly a year after joining the network!

The duo have bought S&F Motors Ltd from Carey and Sue Stevens who have owned the family-run business for more than 40 years and follows their decision to retire. As the business is situated just two miles from the town of Pontypridd and within the historic Rhondda Valley, it will immediately be re-branded as Fix Auto Pontypridd, a move that re-establishes the name in the region.

The news comes less than two weeks after the appointment of Fix Auto Caldicot and re-affirms Fix Auto UK as the most prolific vehicle repairer in Wales with the capability to repair more than 770 vehicles a month with plenty of capacity for more.

The 4,000 sq ft bodyshop houses one spray booth and one curtain-sided ‘back up’ booth and six workbays. There are 12 productives on site and four non-productives. With the sale now complete, Matthew and Paul will now proceed with a programme of investment in the site.

Strategically, the latest addition to the network will provide much-needed support to their Fix Auto Swansea West site along with complementing Fix Auto Neath, Fix Auto Aberdare, Fix Auto Newport and the previously mentioned Fix Auto Caldicot repair centres.

Commenting on the takeover, Matthew said: “When we joined Fix Auto UK 12 months ago we expressed our determination and drive to become a multi-site operator and expand our business and I am delighted to say we have achieved that first goal.  The Fix Auto Pontypridd centre really is perfectly positioned to meet not only our needs, but those of Fix Auto UK.”

 “We started out repairing one car at a time during Covid,” added Paul, “that was less than five years ago and we both have to pinch ourselves when we stand back and realise just what we’ve achieved in that short time. We have received tremendous advice and support from family, friends and colleagues who’ve helped to make it happen for us but, as we’ve previously said, this really is just the start of our plans to continually grow and develop.”
