Fix Auto UK is working to strengthen its close connection with its franchisees after recruiting the consultancy services of communications expert and former regional communications manager for McDonald’s UK, Cheryl Chung.

Cheryl, who now runs Purple Carrot Consulting, gave an interesting presentation during the 2015 Fix Auto UK National Conference during which she revealed how, by working closely with franchisees, she was an integral part of the team that helped to transform fast food giant McDonald’s communication strategy here in the UK.

Fix Auto will utilise Cheryl’s expertise and experience to create a blueprint for two-way communication between Fix Auto’s head office and its 75 bodyshops in order to accelerate the growth of the network and to strengthen the business’ well-known ‘Working Together’ best-practice sharing philosophy.

Commenting on the new relationship, Ian Pugh, of Fix Auto UK, said: “I am extremely proud of our two-way relationship with our franchisees and what we are achieving together. But, I’m also a great believer in continuous improvement, so I want to build upon our achievements and forge an even closer working relationship with our network.

“Cheryl has a unique proposition because of her extensive experience in key parts of arguably the world’s best known franchise organisation. Having started out working in and then managing a McDonald’s restaurant and then a whole region, Cheryl moved into a head office position, so she knows well how management and franchisees can work and thrive together.”

Ian added: “Cheryl’s presentation during our National Conference resonated with me. I feel she will provide an invaluable contribution to the head office team and the network’s Advisory Committee as we move forward and build upon our successes.”

Cheryl, said: “There’s a close synergy between the Fix Auto franchisee proposition and that of McDonald’s. For me, it’s all about the people and getting the best from everyone.  What Ian and his team have created with the Fix Auto UK network is hugely impressive but, like Ian, I’m always striving for improvements.

“I am extremely flattered to have been approached by Fix Auto to help the team build upon their successful formula. My aim is to grow the strong and vibrant franchisee community which is committed to and engaged with the business.”
