FIX AUTO ANNOUNCES TWO HIGH PROFILE SPEAKERS FOR ITS OCTOBER ‘DRIVING FORWARD’ CONFERENCE

Fix Auto UK has announced the first two speakers for its 2017 UK National Conference. For the third successive year, the event will be held at St George’s Park - home to twenty-four England football teams - following the popularity of the venue in previous years.

The first key speaker in the line-up is three-time Olympic medal winner Kriss Akabusi, who was part of the record breaking Great Britain 4x400m Relay Team which successfully defeated the American Relay Team at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo. Since retiring from his successful athletic career, Kriss has become a well-known TV personality and professional speaker.

UK CEO of Domino’s Pizza Group, David Wild will also take to the stage during the conference. Under David’s leadership and through its innovative digital customer engagement strategy, Domino’s has moved 72 per cent of its sales online and grew its total UK sales by 14 per cent in 2016 alone. Therefore, with his experience as CEO of one of the UK’s largest franchise operations, his time spent previously as CEO of Halfords - the high-street bike and car parts retailer - as well as overseeing the expansion of Tesco into the home entertainment sector, David is perfectly placed to deliver a speech focused on Driving Forward a customer-focused operation.

Speaking about the signings, Fix Auto UK’s Ian Pugh, said: “Kriss has over 20 years’ experience of being a motivational speaker and his expertise in the areas of goal-setting, overcoming hurdles and the importance of teamwork, makes him the perfect fit for our 2017 Driving Forward theme.

“The growth and success that Domino’s Pizza Group has achieved in the UK under David Wild is impressive and I am looking forward to hearing what he has to say to encourage Fix Auto UK and our franchisees to successfully Drive Forward into 2018.”

The 2017 event will also give attendees the opportunity to participate in their choice of social event on Wednesday, 18th October, including golf, go-karting or clay pigeon shooting before the National Conference and Awards Dinner commences on Thursday, 19th October.
