ANOTHER NIGHT OF CELEBRATION FOR FIX AUTO UK AS THE NETWORK CREATES A SLICE OF BODYSHOP HISTORY

Fix Auto UK proved to be an unbeatable force during the annual Bodyshop Magazine awards which took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham on Friday night.

For the second time in two years, a Fix Auto UK franchisee created history with Mo Givian becoming the first ever recipient of two major accolades on the same evening. His Fix Auto Luton repair centre was named as the country’s Small Bodyshop of the Year and Mo himself was presented with the Bodyshop Manager of the Year award, pipping fellow finalist Joel Cameron of Fix Auto Penzance to the prize.

Fix Auto Croydon, which relocated to a multi-million pound site in 2017, was named as the industry’s Large Bodyshop of the Year and Fix Auto Rochdale – under its guise of Commercial Contract Engineers, was awarded the Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop of the Year prize for the second successive year.

Fix Auto UK’s Ian Pugh, said: “What an incredible evening of celebration. In 2016 Jade Rogers from Fix Auto Weston-Super-Mare created her own piece of history by becoming the first female Bodyshop Manager of the Year and this year we have Mo becoming the first recipient of two major awards during the same evening. Mo and Fix Auto Luton joined the network in 2016 and he’s since embraced everything about Fix Auto. We are now able to say we have the industry’s Small Bodyshop of the Year run by the industry’s Bodyshop Manager of the Year, an achievement that has never been managed before.”

Ian added: “If anyone needs clarification on what Fix Auto UK is about, they only have to consider our collective achievements at these awards. Mark Boret, Rachel McGuiness and everyone at Fix Auto Croydon have worked to develop their new centre and that work has been rewarded by being named as the industry’s Large Bodyshop of the Year. You also cannot forget Joel at Fix Auto Penzance, we have a young guy who has been nominated for the Bodyshop Manager of the Year and that is a huge achievement.”

Speaking about his achievement, Mo said: “While it was exciting to be nominated for two different awards I never thought I’d win one, let alone both. When my name was announced I was completely stunned. While one award recognises me as an individual, it really has been an incredible team effort as we could not have achieved anything without the loyalty, commitment and drive demonstrated by every single member of the Fix Auto Luton team.”

He added: “We work extremely hard to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer, and these awards means a great deal to us, as I know everyone will always go that extra mile for the customer.  A brilliant effort all round, and I am extremely proud.”

Mark said: “We are all thrilled to have received this award. Large Bodyshop of the Year really is something we can all be proud of. Our new facility has proved a great hit – customers have really been blown away by the quality of their experience with us. But this award would not have happened without the commitment and dedication of a brilliant team, and I thank each and every one of them for what they contribute to the business.”

Alan Fieldberg, editor of Bodyshop Magazine, said: “The Bodyshop Magazine Awards are recognised as the most prestigious in the UK collision repair sector, selected independently by an expert panel of industry peers. To be honoured in this way is such an achievement. I’d like to personally congratulate Mo Givian and Fix Auto Luton for taking the Bodyshop Manager of the Year award and the Small Bodyshop of the Year award. This is the first time in our 22-year history that this unique double has been achieved, so it’s truly a remarkable achievement.

‘My congratulations also go to all at Fix Auto Croydon on winning the Large Bodyshop of the Year and Fix Auto Rochdale who, under their CCE branch won the Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop of the Year award. It certainly was another night of triumph for Fix Auto UK.”
