Alloy Wheel Repairs

Fix Auto West Kensington are alloy wheel refurbishment experts, and our prices start from just £70 including VAT per wheel.

Using our cost-effective alloy wheel repair facilities, you’ll no longer have to see those nasty scuffed and scratched alloy wheels caused by kerb damage, stonechips, or corrosion.

We can even paint your wheels any metallic colour of your choice.

By having your alloy wheel refurbished rather than buying a new one, you could save yourself £100s. We can carry out repairs to your alloy wheels at the same time as your car is in our bodyshop – meaning no extra waiting time.

Our technicians can make scuffed and scratched alloy wheels as good as new by using the state of the art equipment and technical processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you repair bent or cracked wheels?

No, we don't recommend straightening or welding wheels. It is always best to replace. It is easy to cover over a crack by welding but the wheel will still have a weak spot.

How long does it take?

On average an alloy wheel repair takes between 1 and 2 hours.

Can I use the vehicle straight away afterwards?

Yes. Once the wheels are on the car, the vehicle is ready to go.

What is the repair process?

The alloy wheels are repaired, reprimed, painted and lacquered, baked and refitted to your car.

Do you rebalance the wheels afterwards?

In most cases your wheels will not need rebalancing as we do not remove the tyre completely - the tyre is pushed away from the rim so we can repair the kerb damage. The tyre is inflated afterwards in the same position, so as long as your wheels were balanced when we started then nothing we do will affect the wheel.

Can you refurbish split rim alloy wheels?

Split rim wheels come in many different styles so we need to assess each wheel individually. Bolted split rim wheels are easier to refurbish than riveted wheels. We can also supply a range of split rim bolts and rivets for many styles of wheel.

How do I know if my alloy wheels are painted or polished?

Machine polished wheels have very faint lines on the polished surface, similar to grooves in a record or CD. Painted silver alloy wheels usually have a fine metallic sparkle finish.

Can you refurbish diamond cut polished wheels to their original condition?

Yes. To refurbish a diamond cut wheel, we require your wheels for around 7 days. We offer a collection and delivery service.
