FIX AUTO MID DEVON WINS ‘TOP PERFORMING BODYSHOP’ AWARD

A car body repair business in Crediton has been crowned the “Top Performing Bodyshop” in the UK.

Fix Auto Mid Devon was awarded the blue ribband prize during the British Bodyshop Awards, an industry-driven awards ceremony held at the prestigious Battersea Evolution in London in May 2013.

Louise Woolacott, who runs the family-owned bodyshop operation in Marsh Road, Lords Meadow Industrial Estate, Crediton, was presented her prize - awarded by The Innovation Group - by TV personality Clare Balding. Louise said: “The Innovation Group work with more than 250 repairers throughout the UK. Being named as their “top performer” is an incredible honour and is a true testament to the hard work of my entire team and recognition of the excellent standards and customer service we provide.”

Organised by the Auto Body Professionals Club, the annual event celebrates the UK’s vehicle body repair industry and those who work in it; where major insurance and accident management companies, vehicle manufacturers and independent bodyshop networks award their highest performers in front of their peers and the industry as a whole. In front of over 600 guests, 23 winners were selected from over 90 finalists as 17 presenting companies gave out their awards to top performers in various categories.

Fix Auto Mid Devon, which was formerly known as G Woolacott & Son Ltd, is currently undergoing a complete renovation and modernisation of their premises in order to drive the business forward. No stone is being left unturned in the £350,000 project which, when complete, will enable the bodyshop to adopt innovative working practices to ensure a doubling of workshop capability as well as offering a luxurious customer environment and improving energy efficiency.
