FIX AUTO AND NOVUS GLASS IRELAND FURTHER EXPAND IN MUNSTER WITH FIX AUTO CORK CITYWEST

Fix Auto Cork CityWest in Pouladuff joined Fix Auto Cork Central in Cork city to become the second Fix Auto Ireland bodyshop to launch in Munster, and the third bodyshop in Ireland overall.

Cork (Ireland), November 30, 2018 – Fix Auto Cork CityWest, integrating NOVUS Glass windscreen-repair technology, opened the doors for business this week. Following the April announcement that Fix Network Auto World will develop a comprehensive aftermarket services solution in Ireland across it’s two franchise network brands, Fix Auto Cork CityWest is the network’s second Munster location and third nationally.

Founder and Managing Director Denis Dineen is also owner of Fix Auto Cork Central (formerly Dineen Crash Repairs), and is a well-known industry professional with 38 years of collision-repair experience. Dineen founded Dineen Crash Repairs in 1990, and remains directly involved in the  business. He also holds the position of Network Director for Fix Auto Ireland.

Speaking at the launch, Denis outlined his company’s steady and consistent growth since it was founded. “We outgrew our original premises on Electric Terrace, and relocated to Mill Road, Cork in 1993. In 2006, we relocated again to the expansive Ford Factory location, where we continue to operate. The company further expanded in 2012, with the opening of our Lehenagh location, on Pouladuff Road”. Critical to that growth has been Dineen’s commitment to constant staff development. “Our focus on training and upskilling ensures that our technicians are familiar with the latest advancements in vehicle design, technology and modern repair techniques”, he pointed out.

The decision to re-brand the two successful Dineen Crash Repairs locations was a logical one for Denis and Ursula Dineen. “With two of our children involved in the business, we see this as a way to safeguard our business for the next generation, and insulate that business during a time of unprecedented change in our industry. Insurers and consumers want predictability, and consistent levels of excellent service at a reasonable cost. Fix Auto enables us to offer that to them, along with the backing of a global brand and enhanced capabilities, including glass repair and replacement. Our refurbished, state-of-the-art collision repair shops are something our family is enormously proud of”, Dineen said.

Fix Auto Cork CityWest is a modern equipped workshop of over 10,000 sq.ft, manned by a highly skilled and experienced team of autobody repair & paint-spraying technicians, led by Kieran O’Sullivan. As with the Fix Auto Cork Central location, it offers some unique services such as alloy refurbishment, and the technologically-advanced NOVUS Glass windscreen repair and replacement. “We enable our customers to minimize cost and downtime in the event of an accident or a damaged windscreen”, said O’Sullivan. “Our other services include: Crash Repairs, Free Mobile Estimating (on request), Paint Repairs, Full Accident Repair Service, 4-Wheel Alignment, Air Conditioning Recharge, Waxing and Polishing, Paintless Dent Removal, and Laser Chassis Alignment”.

On hand to cut the ribbon, were Jonathan Penny, co-founder with Dineen of Fix Auto Ireland and  Irish Olympic Gold-Winning Speed Walker, Rob Heffernan. “I’m delighted to offer congratulations to Denis and his team on this great business. He has survived and thrived over 30 years here in Cork, due to perseverance and hard work”, said Heffernan, going on to joke “I’m a man who knows something about going the distance”.

Jonathan Penny, Market Operations Director for Fix Auto Ireland, also congratulated Dineen and his team on their second body shop embracing the Fix Auto brand. He reiterated his commitment to grow and foster the Fix Auto Ireland network to combine the brands’ global standards for operational excellence, with local market knowledge and strong marketing resources. “Our aim is to provide a collision and glass repair and replacement business built on customer service and superior performance. This will allow our member bodyshops to concentrate on their real expertise, while we support them with a dedicated marketing, sales and operations team to maximise their business potential. There’s no better example of that than Denis Dineen’s business here in Cork”, Penny explained.

Fix Auto Ireland collision repair shops like Dineen’s two bodyshops in Cork, and Fix Auto Westmeath in Mullingar, offer an unrivalled value proposition for Irish consumers and work providers alike. Fix Network World has developed strong relationships with work providers to simplify the claims process and promote transparency for consumers. The Fix Auto Original Equipment team continue to create strong bonds with manufacturers, enabling member businesses to access OEM’s support services, a business platform which the Fix Auto Ireland team will continue to develop.
