BLAINVILLE (QC), October 4, 2022 – Fix Network successfully concluded its two-day national conference, titled “One Family One Vision”, with a clarion call to address the crucial issues currently affecting the aftermarket industry.
Held in Quebec City from September 29-30, the conference brought together more than 500 participants, including high-level government officials, private sector representatives, industry associations, academia, media, and civil society, to explore the collaborative opportunities and pertinent challenges impacting the automotive aftermarket industry.
Current industry issues such as changing automotive technologies, talent recruitment and retention, achieving operational excellence, the importance of certification, and the latest social media marketing trends in the spotlight. Football legend and motivational speaker Etienne Boulay used his personal experiences to motivate the attendees on how they could achieve their best.
Featured keynote speeches included leading artificial intelligence expert Hod Lipson; OE certification authority Nicole Woerner; Ryan Mandell, Director at Mitchell, and Fix Network World’s Global Vice President of Human Resources Debbie McCarthy, among others. Another interesting highlight was a panel discussion between experts on how the aftermarket industry could look at attracting, recruiting and retaining the best talents in their workforce.
“Fix Network’s national conference was an important opportunity for all our stakeholders to take a real and honest look at issues that affect our industry with the objective of identifying actionable solutions,” Sylvain Seguin, president of Fix Network (Canada), said. “Interactions such as these will play a pivotal role in creating opportunities for closer cooperation and building the framework that can insulate our industry from any economic uncertainty.”
The power of meeting in person was plain to see as delegates were visibly happy to be able to reconnect after a long period apart, and network, learn and share ideas. “The energy at the sessions was unmatched,” Sylvain said. “With the advent of new automotive technologies, the aftermarket landscape, as we know it, will be rewritten completely. This will bring new opportunities and challenges for our industry, unlocking the next level of interaction and engagement across the Network.”
A silent auction was also held on the sidelines of Fix Network’s National Conference, with attendees raising $115,564 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) for families with sick children.
