Fix Network helps raise over $153,000 in golf tournament

Four Fix Network locations in Nova Scotia come together to support RMHC initiatives for families in need

HALIFAX (Nova Scotia), November 2, 2021: Fix Network, the largest automotive aftermarket network in Canada, has once again pledged its support to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada® (RMHC® Canada) by holding a golf tournament to raise much-needed funds for the charity’s initiatives.

Fix Network recently supported the RMHC Golf Classic, held at the Glen Arbour Golf Course, near Halifax, Nova Scotia, where it sponsored two teams of golfers drawn from Fix Network employees, franchisees and business partners. With countless attendees, the event was a successful day out for amateur golfers and their families while contributing to a noble cause.

The initiative, held under strict COVID-19 safety guidelines, helped raise $153,453 to support RMHC’s programs across the country that provide families with a home to stay together, while their sick child is being treated at a nearby hospital. Last year, RMHC’s programs helped over 26,000 families stay close to their sick child and the care they need.

Mark Weeks, Regional Vice-President – Atlantic, Fix Network, said: “The golf tournament is an important opportunity for us to support RMHC, whose work makes a positive difference in the lives of thousands of families every day. Our team and our partners continue to believe in our vision and support our efforts through contributions of time and money. Without these committed partnerships, we would not be able to help those who need it most."

Fix Network’s first sponsored team comprised Larry James Sr. of Fix Auto New Glasgow, Brooke Nichols, manager at Fix Auto Halifax, Colson Cole from Uni-Select, and Jamie Ward, Fix Network’s Strategic Partner Developer. The second team featured Dylan Scammel, owner of Novus Glass Truro, Ken Barter from AkzoNobel, Aaron Hebb, Fix Network’s Regional Sales Account Manager, and Kevin Burgess, owner of Fix Auto Truro.

This year, due to the pandemic, RMHC across Canada is experiencing a time of great need. Since 2016, Fix Network, its employees and strategic partners have been closely associated with RMHC Canada.
