FIX AUTO ENDORSES AIA CANADA’S SHOP ACCREDITATION PROGRAM

Fix Auto Canada lends exclusive support to AIA’s Canadian Collision Industry Accreditation Program (CCIAP).

MONTREAL (Quebec) – October 20, 2016 – Fix Auto Canada President and CEO Steve Leal and AIA Canada President Jean-François Champagne announce Fix Auto’s corporate commitment to the new Canadian Collision Industry Accreditation Program (CCIAP).

As positioned by CCIAP Program Director Andrew Shepherd at CCIF Vancouver on October 1st 2016, the CCIAP’s mission is to “drive excellence in collision repair by accrediting Canadian collision repair facilities against industry standards”. CCIAP represents a unique Canadian solution to auto manufacturer, insurer and public needs for quality assurance in collision repair. This program establishes core shop standards for equipment, training, procedures and general business requirements. This standard matches those developed by the vast majority of Canadian OEs.

At CCIF Vancouver, Leal reiterated that “this new program is well situated – it lets our industry stakeholders shape the future of our industry. We at Fix Auto are convinced that AIA Canada, the organization that operates I-CAR Canada, the leading training for Canadian collision repair shops, is the right partner to deliver this service. We strongly encourage our network to participate in this Canadian-made solution.”

AIA President Jean-François Champagne noted that “AIA is a not-for-profit agency with a great track record serving Canadian collision repairers”.  Champagne adds that Fix Auto’s corporate commitment represents “a very positive industry signal that a national solution is best for the industry”, adding – “we are here for all of our partners.”

AIA Canada has confirmed that every effort will be made to synchronize national and provincial shop accreditation/certification programs to minimize cost and effort for repairers. Fix Auto franchisees are encouraged to register to the CCIAP now, as the program became available online on October 18.

Information on the Canadian Collision Industry Accreditation Program (CCIAP), as well as the online application process, can be found at www.cciap.ca.
