FIX NETWORK & RMHC CANADA LAUNCH “SEASON OF GIVING” INITIATIVE

Effort will help give Canadian families a place to stay close their sick child in hospital

BLAINVILLE (Quebec), December 1, 2020: Fix Network, the largest automotive aftermarket network in Canada, has once again pledged support to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada® (RMHC® Canada) by launching its “Season of Giving” initiative to help families with sick children.

Running all through December, Fix Network’s Canada-wide initiative will help support RMHC’s 34 programs across the country that provide families with a home to stay together, while their sick child is being treated at a nearby hospital. Last year, RMHC’s programs helped over 26,000 families stay close to their sick child and the care they need.

This year, due to COVID-19, RMHC across Canada is experiencing a time of great need, with revenue declines of up to 60 per cent. To support RMHC during this critical time, Fix Network is encouraging its franchise partners and staff to support the “Season of Giving” initiative and donate generously.

Somer Mullins, National Director for Marketing and Communications for Fix Network Canada, says: “This year has been challenging for all of us, and especially for families with a sick child. This Season of Giving, I am excited to see our network come together to show support for families in our communities, now more than ever.”

Since 2016, Fix Network, its employees and strategic partners have been closely associated with RMHC Canada, contributing more than $250,000 over the past three years. Donors can contribute through online donations. To kickstart the initiative, Fix Network will donate $10,000.

“We are truly grateful for the generosity of Fix Network, its franchise partners and staff during this time of great need,” said Leslie Hederson, National Partnerships Director, RMHC Canada. “This initiative will provide much needed funding to help RMHC continue to deliver its core mission of providing meals, accommodations and support for families staying at Ronald McDonald Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across Canada.”
