Fix Auto welcomes franchise strategic partners from across Quebec to celebrate not only the success of the last 25 years but the tremendous momentum driving Fix Auto forward.

QUEBEC CITY (Quebec), November 1, 2017 – With over 260 people in attendance, including strategic partners, representatives from the national corporate team, suppliers, insurance partners and special guests, the annual Fix Auto Quebec Regional Meeting held on October 27th and 28th was a resounding success.  Over the two day event, delegates were given the opportunity to listen to informative presentations, connect with suppliers, participate in collaborative break-out sessions, mingle with their colleagues and celebrate Fix Auto’s 25 year journey.

The event, held at the Delta Quebec City which is located within a five-minute walk from iconic Old Québec, kicked off with Steve Leal, Fix Auto World President and CEO welcoming everyone, reflecting on the journey and looking ahead to the future of Fix Auto. “I want to congratulate and thank all our shop owners, suppliers and insurance partners for a very successful 25 years,” said Leal.  “Building a great team and solid partnerships is critical to continue our growth path.”

A key strategic partnership in Fix Auto’s drive to move forward is with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).  In this, the second year of the venture, the investment from the CDPQ is helping to accelerate Fix Auto’s network growth in Canada and internationally.  Special guest Christian Dubé, CDPQ Executive Vice-President, spoke of this mutually beneficial partnership. “I think the way you have been growing both nationally and internationally is not only good for you but also it is good for us at the CDPQ; it’s a win-win,” said Dubé.

A lively discussion panel was also held, which included topics around recruitment of new employees, generating interest in the trade and how the industry image is changing with new technology. Panelists included Vyolaine Dujmovic who just returned from the auto body repair skills competition held in Abu Dhabi. Dujmovic, an auto body technician and Canadian skills competitor works for and is sponsored by Fix Auto, and also acts as a youth ambassador of Fix Auto Canada at educational and informational expositions showcasing the next generation of collision repair talent.

That evening, attendees were invited to a Gala Dinner to celebrate Fix Auto’s 25 years of success. The Gala was hosted by renowned Quebec comedian Bruno Landry. Landry entertained everyone with his famous quick wit as he strolled down memory lane chatting with some of Fix Auto’s original strategic partners.  Landry even called upon Steve Leal and pointed out that Steve and his wife were celebrating their wedding anniversary that day. Needless to say, his comments on the subject had everyone laughing.  The celebratory atmosphere continued throughout the evening with dinner, toasts and reminiscing that went on well into the night.

The energy from the previous evening’s event carried forward into the next day’s meetings. Dynamic presentations were given by both the Operations and Marketing teams. Both presentations highlighted information and tools shop owners need to continue to grow their businesses in their local markets. Smaller break-out sessions rounded out the day. Each session provided attendees the opportunity to meet in smaller groups to encourage open dialogue and provide valuable feedback.

“This is where Fix Auto began,” commented Yves Roy, Fix Auto General Manager of the Quebec region. “The tremendous growth and dedication of the team here in Quebec is inspiring.  This annual event brings all our strategic partners from around the province together to participate in some informative presentations and sessions as well as connect with their colleagues and celebrate the successful journey of Fix Auto together.”
