FIX AUTO FRANCHISE STRATEGIC PARTNERS TEAM UP FOR KIDS STAYING AT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE MONTREAL

Fix Auto shop owners and brothers, Sylvain and Eric Laporte create a fantastic day for some very special kids at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres NASCAR Weekend.

BLAINVILLE (Quebec), August 26, 2019 – Fix Auto franchise strategic partners Sylvain and Eric Laporte teamed up to create a very special day for several families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Montreal. Sylvain, owner of Fix Auto St-Leonard and Eric, owner of Fix Auto Terrebonne, St-Martin and Laval East invited the families to attend the 50th Annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres NASCAR Weekend from August 9th to 11th. Over its 50 year history, an impressive number of series have raced on the track including Formula Atlantic, Super Production Challenge, NASCAR Pinty’s, CCTC, Formula 1600, Nissan Micra Cup and many others, offering racing fans a show full of action on a narrow street circuit.

As VIP guests of the event, the children received autographs from the drivers, got to ride in the cars, visited the pits and even had the opportunity to award trophies to race winners on the podium. “We were delighted to host these families at the Grand Prix NASCAR Weekend and give them the opportunity to meet the drivers and experience the thrill of professional racing first hand,” said Sylvain Laporte. “These kids and their families are going through a very stressful time that is unimaginable for most people, giving them a day to just enjoy each other and the event is the least we can do.”

A special thanks goes out to Fix Auto valued sponsors Uniparts, Mirka, NAPA and LKQ who facilitated this extraordinary experience for the families of the Montreal Ronald McDonald House. With their help and participating franchisees including Fix Auto Saint-Jean, Labelle, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Vaudreuil, Saint-Eustache, Saint-Apollinaire and Montréal-Ouest, more than $1,000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Montreal and Quebec City. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is the national charity partner for Fix Auto with shops across the country raising funds for this important organization. RMHC keeps families with sick children close to each other and the care they need. To learn more about RMHC or to donate, visit rmhccanada.ca/donation.

Yves Roy, Regional Vice President for Fix Network Quebec commented, “When a child is sick and needs medical attention sometimes hundreds of kilometres away, RMHC is there to provide a home away from home for their family. I want to thank Sylvain, Eric and our supplier partners for providing an extraordinary experience for the families staying at the RMHC house. A fantastic and memorable day for all!”
