FIX AUTO WANGARA JOINS FIX AUTO AUSTRALIA’S NETWORK

Owner-operator Andy Allen brings over 40 years of excellence to Fix Auto’s network as Allen’s Vehicle Refinishers becomes Fix Auto Wangara

SYDNEY (New South Wales), October 5th, 2017 - Terry Feehan, Head of Business for Fix Auto Australia, is pleased to announce that Fix Auto Wangara, owned and operated by Andy Allen in Western Australia, is the latest shop to join the Australian Fix Auto network, effective October 4th, 2017.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Andy Allen relocated to Australia in the early 1990s, after marrying wife Gail, whom he met when they both worked in a dealership panel shop. "That's when the panel industry changed a lot for me. I went from working for wages to being a sub-contractor leasing the paint shop, being responsible for the painting and the training and wages of an apprentice", remembers Andy. This lead him to an opportunity to take over an existing shop with a partner. In 2003, after nearly 5 years, the owners parted ways, and Allen’s Vehicle Refinishers took form as a fully operational, independent collision repair shop in Wangara, WA. Since starting their business, the Allens have worked hard to provide quality repairs and adapt to an ever-changing industry. The shop’s great work has not gone unnoticed, and in 2012, AVR was nominated for and won the Paint and Panel Suncorp Best Small Business Award, Western Australia.

Fix Auto Wangara’s skilled team are able to handle a large variety of work. “The work we undertake varies from small paintless dent repairs to major accident damage. We are an approved PPG Vibrance applicator, offering specialised paint finishes. We also are environmentally conscious and use waterborne paint,” added Andy.

Joining Fix Auto was another important step for Andy and Gail. "The decision to become part of the Fix Auto network was not taken lightly. After meeting with Terry Feehan and (National Operations Manager) Steve Taylor, Gail and I made the decision that this was the best thing we could do for our business," recalls Andy. "In our opinion, Fix Auto is different from any other repair network, as the businesses are still owner-operated, not managed. We feel that this is very important to ensure the best possible service for our customers."
