Bodyshop General Hand – Fix Auto Wangara

Reports to: Workshop Manager

The General Hand reports to the workshop Manager and assists with a variety of tasks to support our production staff and ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians and tradespeople with daily tasks, including vehicle preparation and parts handling.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of workshop areas, equipment, and tools.
• Move, park, and deliver vehicles as required within the premises.
• Dispose of waste materials appropriately and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Unpack and store delivered parts and materials.
• Help with basic vehicle detailing, washing, and vacuuming.
• Support with masking and prepping vehicles for paintwork under supervision.
• Carry out errands and deliveries for the workshop as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and store policies at all times.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an automotive workshop or collision store (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift heavy items and conduct physically demanding tasks.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn new skills.
