FIX AUTO UK’S RACING DRIVER JAC CONSTABLE RECORDS HIS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

Fix Auto UK’s racing driver Jac Constable secured his maiden win in the Radical Challenge Championship last weekend.

Saturday at Oulton Park will be one the young driver will long remember, having produced his finest qualifying session to date where he finished third. He went onto record a fourth-place finish in the first race followed by a second and then his first victory. Jac was also awarded the Sunoco driver of the weekend award for the second time this season.

Transmission issues in the first race spoilt what would have been his first podium finish of the day. Once rectified, Jac was able to show his true potential and recorded the fastest lap time. In the second race he took the lead immediately from the start, only to be overtaken following a daring move by two-time championship winner Dominik Jackson who then proceeded to use the entire track to keep him at bay.

The third race saw Jac race bumper-to-bumper with Jackson from the off, however his rival was handed a 15 second penalty for rule infringements. That penalty ensured Jac’s outstanding drive was rewarded with the outright win.

Speaking after the win, Jac said: “It was pretty special race for me. Having stepped onto the podium several times this year I so desperately wanted a win and stand on that top step. I tragically lost a close friend who lived near to Oulton Park earlier this year so I dedicate this win to him.

“The team put out an absolutely amazing car all weekend. We are learning with every outing and as this weekend proves, we ae getting better and better. I can’t wait for the second half of the season.”

Jac sits third in the championship, 76 points behind Jackson and 27 behind Jerome de Sadeleer. He will be back in action at Silverstone, the home of British racing and the setting for the Fix Auto UK National Conference later this year, on August 17.
